General description of the system

The LapMan® is a laparoscope manipulator that can be easily moved from and to the operating table. Its shaft (see illustration of parts below) holds and moves a laparoscope by executing commands from a remote LapStick® RF control that is positioned on the handle of the instrument and that is activated by the surgeon.

Basically, the system comprises a rolling base for easy handling of the system and an Arm that executes the actual movements, while holding the endoscope.
